NYcars.com Charges Forward In 2000

SYRACUSE & UTICA, NEW YORK -- April 13, 2000 -- NYcars.com (www.nycars.com) has experienced an explosion in the traffic to its Web site and its affiliated sites since March 1999, reaching approximately 20,000 site visitors in March, according to its president, Matthew Bramble.

"We've been setting records monthly on the NYcars.com site, even beating our own expectations. Also, we've marketed our vehicle photos and information to other sites, as well, so we've been able to increase dramatically the number of people viewing information about our Member Dealers and the vehicles that they carry. We are confident that our numbers will continue to rise significantly throughout the year 2000," Bramble said.

NYcars.com carefully filters its statistics to ensure the integrity of its reported numbers. Bramble added, "Our experience and deep technical knowledge allows us to filter out non-people generated traffic. Such traffic is typically included in Web site statistical reports leading to grossly overstated results. As a result we can more accurately measure the success of every component of our service, and our dealers deeply respect our integrity."

The full-service Internet automotive advertising agency aggressively has marketed its Member Dealers through several Web sites, delivering increasing numbers of regionally targeted vehicle shoppers each month. A year ago, with traffic only on the NYcars.com site, the company was averaging around 2,000 site visitors per month. With the current levels of traffic the company is experiencing, it is the number one Internet destination for vehicle shoppers in Central New York.

In late September, NYcars.com reached an agreement with Syracuse-based NYautos.com (www.nyautos.com) to merge its databases and dealer services under the NYcars.com brand. NYAutos.com continues as a New York State Internet auto dealer directory that features the NYcars.com vehicle search engine. Last May, NYcars.com reached an agreement with Yahoo! Inc., a leading global Internet media company, to distribute its vehicle inventory listings to Yahoo! Autos (classifieds.yahoo.com). Later this spring, NYcars.com will launch a multimedia ad campaign in Central New York, utilizing TV ads and Internet banner ads on regional sites, further driving traffic to the NYcars.com site.

The NYcars.com Solution

NYcars.com provides Web design, programming. hosting services, consultation, and Internet advertising to its Member Dealers. Its offers Central New York vehicle shoppers the ability to view information and photos of approximately 1,000 used vehicles and 21 makes of new vehicles from 26 Central New York dealerships in the Syracuse, Utica-Rome and Watertown markets.

Started in 1996, NYcars.com has enjoyed brisk, but managed growth, both in terms of site traffic and number of Member Dealers it represents. The company is financially sound, not built on venture capital, and run extremely efficiently. It markets its services on quality, and offers its Member Dealers a reasonably priced solution to market their vehicles on the Web, attracting Central New York focused vehicle shoppers.
